So Nintendo hosted another one of their informative video blogs called "Nintendo Direct." Lots of great announcements were made but I know a lot of us don't have 30 mins to sift through video looking for the highlights... Lucky for you I have no life and bring you the highlights below!

Firstly, and probably most exciting, is the launch of the new Wii U "Animal Crossing Plaza." ACP is an interactive "Miiverse" dedicated to one of the most addictive titles of 2013. Players can send, receive and design images and QR codes to people all over the world. Not only that, you can chat to other AC players and show off your town!
Nintendo are also taking a huge gamble with the new Wii U Pokemon Rumble U. Players can collect toys ala Skylanders and battle other Pokemon using Nintendo's Near Field Communication (NFC.) This game will release exclusively on the eShop within the next 6 weeks.
Luigi has been confirmed as a playable character in both versions of Super Smash Bros for this gen. It is kind of obvious he would appear being the year of Luigi but now at least Luigi fans can breath a sigh of relief.
Sonic lost world not only looks amazing but will now feature cross platform interaction. Players can customize gadgets on their 3DS and send them through to the Wii U. No further cross platform features have been announced at this time.
To make up for shtoinking Nintendo gamers, Ubisoft have announced a special Mario costume for the Wii U version of Rayman legends which doesn't really make up the fact they made the exclusive multi-platform and then delayed it 6 months...
Wind Waker HD has received not only a graphics make-over but several gameplay changes that enhance it. The game hits our shores on Oct 2nd.
Art Academy sketch pad is out for the Wii U this week. It will allow Wii U users to create much better images to upload to the Miiverse and hone their drawing skills. I can't wait personally as some of the artwork on the Miiverse is already so good, now it will be even better!
There's also a Pikmin 3 Miiverse competition where players can make funny captions to pre-selected images... I wonder how many accounts will be banned on this one!
Finally in the Wii U department, the very interestingly titled "Wonderful 101" will receive its own Nintendo Direct shortly. The game already looks intriguing so I can't wait to bring you more information on that one.
Professor Layton 3DS will be crossed over with Capcoms "b" and releases next year.
Legend of Zelda: A link Between Worlds has been confirmed to span 2 alternate realities. I don't want to spoil it for the fans but I will say it plays into being a sequel to the SNES classic, Link to the past.
More NES Virtual Console Games inbound for the 3DS. Titles include Super Mario Bros 3, Wario Land 3 and Donkey Kong.
